Autumn in Central Park 16"x20" oil on canvas
Catching the Light: Whether I am painting indoors or en plein air, catching the light and capturing the spirit of time and place are always my inspiration. The use of light is an integral part of my paintings. Light and shadow create compositional direction, mood, texture and charm.

Autumn is here in full color..
This painting was created after taking a quiet walk in a local park on a fall day. The light on the path and the golden orange trees created a peaceful scene that was a joy to paint. Autumn Path 16"x20" oil on canvas
Even on a gray day, Central Park is always inspiring to me. There are interesting people playing music, performing and just walking by. The landscape and architecture are truly amazing.
Did you know that Central Park has over 9,000 wooden benches and was the first public landscaped park in all of the United States?
